If you need a replacement screen for your Asus, the three things that can be used to identify a particular laptop screen are the screen size, the resolution of the screen and whether the screen is CCFL or LED. As a rule of thumb it’s better to opt for a screen with a higher resolution as the number of pixels will be more meaning a better quality image and clearer display.
If you have the original instructions that came with your laptop, you should be able to find the information you need about the screen. However, if not, you may be able to find the information you are looking for online, and some websites can even detect the resolution of the screen for you.
The next thing you need to determine is whether the screen is LED or CCFL. This can be done if you remove the screen from its casing and look at the connecting wires. If the screen is connected via a small white plug and two small thin wires, the screen is a CCFL type. When you have the above information, finding a laptop screen should be a lot easier.
